Craft Time- Handmade Journals make great gifts

 Journal Journal Journal!!!
I bought several of these regular composition notebooks on clearance for about $.50 a piece. They weren't so special until we added some great scrapbooking paper. We even hand cut a bird from coordinating paper to decorate the front of our Nature Journal. You can hand cut a design of your choice or use stickers to decorate according to your own theme.

A few ideas for journals to give as gifts are:  daily journal, travel journal, nature journal, birding journal, scrapbook journal, gardening journal, devotional journal,  homeschool (you get the idea) Have fun! Quick, easy, cheap, and practical.

Adding bible verses or famous quotes to the pages is a great way to personalize these little gifts even more for special friends. You can add string and a button to wrap it around to seal the journal shut or add a special pen to record thoughts.

Collage journals and SMASH journals are all the rage these days. They are a mixed media sort of journal where you can add scrapbook type of items along with thoughts and dreams - memories of special events or goals for the future. Watch a DIY SMASH journal tutorial on YouTube here. But, remember, the thing about these artsy journals is that they are each unique. They don't have to be done any particular way. Apply your own style, add fun paper and interesting office supplies, leave room on the pages for journaling - and you've got yourself a great SMASH book. Or, supply the recipient with the basic journal and supplies to add their own touches and make it their own. Consider supplying an envelope or box full of fun stickers, staples, stamps and office supplies to go with various scraps of colored paper and scrap paper for a fun SMASH book.

I love these creative art journals and think they make great gifts~ handmade is always my favorite!
