The Louisville Zoo - Springtime Babies

The Louisville Zoo is beautiful in the Springtime-
There is a new member at the zoo this season- mother and baby are both pictured here. Unfortunately, the day after our visit, the father gorilla attacked the newborn and the baby lost part of his leg. Reports say that he is now doing fine & recovering well.

Baby Scotty is now a 3 year old toddler!
The zoo in Louisville is a great place to get out and get some exercise. It is a beautiful place to walk no matter what time of the year it is.
If you are visiting the area it is a must see attraction, locals will find that it is well worth purchasing an annual pass.
There are educational programs, audio tours, and behind the scene tours available for individuals & groups. It's a terrific place for a homeschool field trip.
The water spray park will be opening in late May & includes members only hours. There is an extra charge for those who want to ride the carousel or do the ropes climbing course. (Ropes course is $7 & carousel is @ $2- although members receive coupons throughout the year)

The Springtime flower garden is a great picture spot -
Get out this Spring- take a walk- and learn something new at the zoo!
