Easy Receipe- Hot Lunch or Simple Supper

Receipe from the Sargento Cheese Company:

Open Faced Cheddar Broil- Prep time 8 minutes- Cook time 3 minutes

English muffin- split & toasted (we like whole grain thin sandwich rounds too)
2 slices of tomato
2 slices of deli ham or crispt bacon
Avacado (optional)
1/2 cup Sargento fancy sharp cheddar shredded cheese
2 tbs light mayo

Place muffin halves on small, foil-lined baking sheet, top with tomato, ham, and avacado if desired. Combine cheese and mayo and spread over ham. Place under pre-heated broiler 4 inches from the heat. Broil 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwich is nice and hot!

Kids can help stack the indredients on the sandwich and sprinkle the cheese- or give them their own bowls and some playdough to roll out with a kitchen roller so they can be creative and "cook" with you in the kitchen. They love to use real kitchen tools (as long as they are safe) - and rolling out or measuring and pouring water from one container to another is great for their fine motor development. Have Fun!

This sounds absolutely delicious, kind of like the hot brown sandwich, one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
