In an effort to save money this year, I'm joining my friends Marcy +Ben and Me as well as Sam +Sam's Noggin to bring you this weekly link up full of tips for becoming a more Frugal Family. We will be sharing ideas to help you save money on groceries and meals, homeschool, crafts, and plenty of frugal DIY posts. We've made many sacrifices so that I can stay at home to teach the boys, and I've become pretty frugal in order to help make that possible and to keep it that way. It's become a challenge I truly enjoy, and one I enjoy sharing with you!
This week:
We are on the road for the Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Convention in Tennessee!
We've scheduled frugal hotel rooms, earning free nights stays with our Choice Hotel Rewards program and pairing it with our AAA membership for an added discount.
We are carrying food along the journey - like our steak roll ups here.
And . . . we have plenty of fun planned - frugal fun - of course!

You've heard me mention the ASTC Passport Program. We sure do put it to good use while on the road. We have plans to visit Tellus Science Center in North Georgia on the way home. Here in Nashville - we used it to visit the Adventure Science Center.
We met up with friends +Marcy Crabtree (Ben and Me) & +Kathy Balman (Kathy's Cluttered Mind)
Local Nashville friends showed us their favorite kids park at Charlie Daniels Park -
thank you +Dan R Morris for introducing us to your sweet family.
The boys fed ducks, watched birds, walked around the lake, ran through the grass and enjoyed a picnic in the shade - once they got over their shock and amazement of the Parthenon itself.
We then headed to the Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park
The Civil War exhibit, Tennessee - Struggle for the Heartland 1861-1865, is free and open to the public at the Visitor Center in Bicentennial Park.
