Each week I join forces with my friend Carrie @YoungLivingOilLady
to bring you this Kids in the Kitchen family recipe link up - We are all about encouraging
families to cook and eat together. Real food, verses the fake processed stuff is always best.
We believe that food is usually healthier when families get in the habit of cooking regularly together.
This week at our house:
Youth Pizza Party (Homeschool Group)
There are so many wonderful pizza recipes out there
This week we invited friends over for a youth social
Sharing our kitchen is one of our favorite things to do
We got the pizza dough pre-made from Publix (it's quite good)
We used pizza sauce from a jar - organic is best and jar is healthier than canned
Mozzarella cheese can be bought grated or grate your own
(for the purpose of the party with lots of kids - we used the grated)
We used pepperoni from Publix as well
Other topping suggestions are onion, black olives, peppers, sausage, mushrooms or any veggies
Most of all - we suggest - invite friends!
We split the pizza dough rounds up into single size pizzas for each kiddos to make their own
We also divided the kids into separate groups so we all had plenty of room to work and so the mommas could help each small group at a time (safely)
Some of the kids made their pizzas into special shapes. I think we had one gun (ahem, a Becton pizza). There was a space ship, a number 7 and an oval with extra pepperoni.
